I do not understand how we even have time to worry about promoting the confederate flag when there are more important issues like creating jobs. Its not Rick Perry's fault the issue came up - its the people who want the confederate flag recognized. How can those people push their issue in Perry's face when there are more important matters like housing the homeless, medical programs for children, and creating jobs. I think that the Sons of the Confederate Veterans need to back down and let our government focus on main issues.

[...] Friday’s Weekly Web Wonk discusses the Groupon (GRPN) IPO, as well as that of Pandora (P): Unless you’ve been living in a million-dollar compound in Abbottabad with no digital connections whatsoever (#toosoon?), you’ve probably heard that $GRPN is about to become reality. The Wall Street Journal is reporting Groupon could be valued “at as much as $20 billion,” while Fast Company investigates the question on everyone’s mind: Is this the next Google or the next Webvan? In another article, WSJ points out that the online marketer’s self-marketing costs have increased more than 250% since 2009; such marketing accounted for four-fifths of Groupon’s $270 million gross profit in the last quarter. Another concern courtesy of Wonk Wintern Mary Kathryn: the already-crowded social media marketing space just got noticeably more crowded courtesy of Google and Living Social-investor Amazon.
[...] Egyptian Elections Report: Challenges with Democracy I am a week into my efforts to train Egyptian political activists on how Americans campaign, and it is clear the challenges facing political parties and youth activists here are daunting.
