Katie Naranjo has been working campaigns since she was six years old, when she phone banked for Bill Clinton and calculated election returns for State Rep. Jim McReynolds.
A native of Lufkin, Texas, Katie served as the President of the College Democrats of America, representing 100,000 College Democrats across the country during the 2008 elections. Growing up in East Texas, Katie became very active in local, state, and federal elections at an early age and continued her activism at the University of Texas. Katie holds a B.S. in Public Relations and a B.A. in Government from The University of Texas and is a member of the prestigious UT Orange Jackets and Friar Society.
Katie has worked for Houston Mayor Annise Parker, Congressmen Max Sandlin, Chris Bell and Lloyd Doggett; Travis County DA Rosemary Lehmberg; and then- Senator Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign before joining GNI Strategies. Since joining GNI Strategies, Katie has successfully worked with local judicial candidates in Travis County. Currently, Katie looks forward to an exciting midterm election working for East Texas state representatives, Linda Chavez-Thompson, and GNI’s corporate and non-profit clients.
